Department of Pathology
Pathology is the study of disease and its causes. The Department of Pathology at EGSP NYMC provides students with a deep understanding of the structural and functional changes in cells, tissues, and organs that occur during disease. This department bridges basic science and clinical medicine.
Our department is equipped with a modern pathology lab and a museum featuring various pathological specimens. Students are trained to identify and interpret histological slides and gross pathological specimens, helping them understand the disease process from a structural perspective.
Course Objectives

- To train students in the identification and interpretation of pathological changes in tissues and organs.
