Department of Biochemistry
Biochemistry is the study of chemical processes within and relating to living organisms. The Department of Biochemistry at EGSP NYMC provides students with a deep understanding of the molecular basis of health and disease. This department is essential for understanding metabolism, nutrition, and clinical biochemistry.
Our department is equipped with a modern biochemistry lab where students are trained in various biochemical techniques, including spectrophotometry, chromatography, and electrophoresis. We emphasize the importance of biochemical pathways and their role in maintaining homeostasis.
